James 1:19-20

James 1:19-20 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

It is so much easier just to say and do whatever we want whenever we feel like it. Who cares if we're in a public place! Who cares if anybody hears! Who cares if it's not politically correct!

And who cares if they're offended? Who cares if we're asked to leave? Who cares if we're thrown out? Who cares if we're fired? Who cares if we're Christians?

Certainly it's important to remember who we represent now that we're part of the family of God, Christians.

Certainly it's critical to live in such a way so as to draw others to the one by whom we're named, Christ.

And certainly that needs to begin at home. Do we care that our parents, siblings, sons & daughters, or spouses see Christ in Us?

Especially in times of conflict - and conflict occurs in any relationship - those we love need to see Christ in Us!

So be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger so that His Righteousness is evident in Us - for our benefit and the benefit of those around us!
